Last updated: 21 October 2026. These terms apply when you buy or use the 2026/27 pass for Couples Tax Map (the "Service"), provided by Gopi Patel, trading as Simple Sums, 4th Floor, Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6EB, ("we", "us").
A personal licence to use the Service while signed in, until the end date shown in the tool (31 May 2027 for the 2026/27 pass). It includes rule updates we publish during that period. It is for you and your household only. You must not share your sign-in, copy, resell or republish the Service.
The Service shows how published UK tax rules apply to figures you enter. It is general information and illustration. It is not tax, financial, investment or legal advice, and not a personal recommendation. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Where the Service shows an option, such as a pension payment, it is an illustration of how the rules work, not a suggestion that you do it. Check the official rules on gov.uk and speak to a qualified adviser before making decisions.
We take care to keep the rules up to date and show the date they were last checked. Tax rules change, sometimes without notice, and the Service simplifies some situations (see the list of things not covered on the Service). Results are estimates. We cannot guarantee they are complete, error-free or right for your circumstances.
The Service is sold to consumers in the United Kingdom, for England, Wales and Northern Ireland tax rules. Payments from other countries are refunded automatically.
The price is shown at checkout and includes any VAT that applies. Payment is taken by our payment provider (Gumroad or Stripe). You get immediate access. By paying you ask us to start providing the Service straight away and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel within 14 days once access begins. [Solicitor to confirm wording.] We do not refund change-of-mind purchases once access has begun. See the refunds page. This does not affect your statutory rights, including if the Service is faulty or not as described.
See the privacy notice. The figures you type into the tool stay on your device.
We are responsible for losses caused by our negligence or breach, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the Service, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. [Solicitor to review this section.]
We may update these terms and will say when. Questions: contact. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
